responsible for oversight of the management structure and policy of the amateur radio examinations<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What we do<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/main\/clubs-training\/for-trainers\/syllabus-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">syllabuses<\/a><\/strong> continue to meet Ofcom\u2019s requirements, remain relevant and continue to reflect the requirements of a modern amateur radio service while ensuring examinations continue to cover the <a href=\"http:\/\/docdb.cept.org\/Docs\/doc98\/official\/pdf\/TR6102.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>internationally agreed amateur radio syllabus (HAREC)<\/strong><\/a> (PDF)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure examinations are run in accordance with the schedule to the MOU agreed between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ofcom<\/strong><\/a> and the RSGB<\/li>\n<li>Ensure, so far as is practicable, that the examinations are consistent with CEPT T\/R 61-02<\/li>\n<li>Examine on a yearly basis the performance of the examination system<\/li>\n<li>Publish a report on the RSGB website<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13463 alignright\" 100vw, 190px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On 1 October 2015, responsibility for the management of the radio amateur examinations system passed from the <a href=\"https:\/\/commsfoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>RCF<\/strong><\/a> to the RSGB.<\/p>\n<p>These revised arrangements are contained in a schedule of terms agreed between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ofcom<\/strong><\/a> and the RSGB.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thersgb.org\/publications\/exams\/schedule-of-terms-between-ofcom-and-rsgb-conduct-amateur-radio-examinations.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Schedule of Terms between Ofcom and the Radio Society of Great Britain on the conduct of Amateur Radio Examinations<\/a><\/strong> (12-page\/217KB PDF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will allow the <a href=\"http:\/\/commsfoundation.org\/?page_id=69\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>RCF trustees<\/strong><\/a> to focus on their charitable work, and will further streamline the administration of the examinations, building on the foundation established over the last eight years.<\/p>\n<p>Examinations will continue to be available to all, regardless of RSGB membership, and these changes will have minimal impact on the conduct of the examinations at local level.<\/p>\n<p><a
