\"beacons\"<\/a>The Society’s beacon support policy extends to all frequencies and encourages the exploitation of modern technologies and sustainable systems.<\/p>\n

The Society will consider providing assistance towards beacon costs where there is, or would be, a gap in the strategic requirements, or where there is a new technological development, and all other sources of funds have been exhausted. Applications for support should be submitted in the first instance to the General Manager, gm.dept@rsgb.org.uk<\/span><\/a>. More detailed guidance for applicants is below.<\/p>\n

Detailed Guidance<\/h3>\n

Both capital and running costs of Beacons should normally be met by the groups or individuals who own and maintain them.<\/p>\n

However in recognition of the importance of beacons to Amateur Radio, the Society will contribute towards the capital costs of setting up and maintaining beacons in certain circumstances.<\/p>\n

In order to encourage long-term sustainability, applications for financial support will only be considered from affiliated groups, not individual beacon keepers.<\/p>\n
