RSGB Lecture Chair

| December 6, 2022

The RSGB facilitates just over sixty lectures per year in a mixture of in-person, hybrid and remote formats. Fifty of these are at the RSGB Convention, and eleven are delivered through the livestreamed Tonight@8 webinars programme of events.

This set of lectures aims to cover a wide mix of amateur radio related subjects, across all depths of amateur radio experience and knowledge. These lectures are watched and admired by RSGB members and non-members across the world.

Up until now these lectures have been brought together by a small informal group consisting of RSGB staff and volunteers. The RSGB is seeking a volunteer Lecture Chair to lead and expand this group, and to manage the lecture invitation and scheduling process for both Tonight@8 and the Convention.

Reporting to the Convention Chair, the Lecture Chair would be a member of the RSGB Convention team and have responsibility for scheduling lectures within most of the streams. They would not be required to take responsibility for organising and managing the other aspects of the RSGB Convention.

Deadline for applications is Monday 16 January.

Interested applicants should submit an email application together with their CV to gm.dept@rsgb.org.uk
