It may (and usually will) be connected to a Location.<\/p>\n<p>A Location entry should contain information specific to the location, and will, at the very least, contain the location\u2019s name and address. It may have multiple events connected to it.<\/p>\n<h4>Does an Event need a Location?<\/h4>\n<p>Consider the following questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Will the Event be open to visitors?<\/li>\n<li>Should the Event show in any &#8220;<a title=\"Events In Your Region\" href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/events\/rsgb-events-site\/in-your-region\/\">Events In Your Region<\/a>&#8221; searches?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the answer to <strong>all<\/strong> of these questions is <em>&#8220;No&#8221;<\/em>, then it doesn&#8217;t. Choose the most appropriate setting for the Event&#8217;s &#8220;Reason for No Location&#8221; field.<\/p>\n<p>If the answer to <strong>any<\/strong> of these questions is <em>&#8220;Yes&#8221;<\/em>, then it does. It is best to create the Location entry before the Event entry. First check to see whether the location is already defined in the system. You can search for a location using the <a title=\"Find Locations\" href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/events\/rsgb-events-site\/locations\/\">Locations<\/a>\u00a0page, or using the <a title=\"Find Locations on GB Map\" href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/events\/rsgb-events-site\/locations\/gb-map\/\">GB Map<\/a> and <a title=\"Find Locations on World Map\" href=\"https:\/\/rsgb.org\/events\/rsgb-events-site\/locations\/world-map\/\">World Map<\/a> pages which provide Google\u2122 Map displays with locations marked.
