Summary

An event in the North of England is being run on Saturday 27 April at Philips Park, Bury by the Oldham ARC in conjunction with the orienteering Club SELOC. The competition will use both the 3.5MHz band and the 144 MHz band.

Format of Event

The event will conform to the general principles of IARU events, but will be less formal than a Championship.

Pin punching will be used.

Courses

144 and 3.5 MHz with 5 transmitters each.

Transmitters will be at least 400m apart and 400m from the start and finish, on both bands.

Scale 1:8,000. Printed on A4 size waterproof paper.

Timetable

• 10.00 – Registration opens.
• 10.25 – Map issue to the first starter.
• 10.30 – First competitor starts on 3.5MHz
• 13.00 – First competitor starts on 144MHz
• 16.00 – Courses close
