Ofcom is consulting on a series of topics during 2013 and 2014 that will have a direct effect on amateur radio in the UK and all changes will be reflected in a re-issue of the amateur licence.
The most recent consultations have closed – see consultation information and archived online forums.
This web page will be a focal point for where we provide or link to additional information, including an opportunity for all amateurs to express their views via a moderated discussion, that we call the Litmus Test.
Litmus Test usage and registration
The Litmus Test is intended to be an online place where members and often non-members can have a friendly discussion on matters of importance that relate to our amateur interests in radio communication. We therefore expect all participating to register, and in doing so accept and adhere to our Internet Guidelines.
You will need to register for access to any of the Litmus Tests, and this UserID and Password will be different from your RSGB Membership login, for RSGB members.
If you participated in one of our previous Litmus Tests, your registration will have been saved and you can use it again.
If you have not previously registered please Click here to Register, it only takes a few minutes to register. You will be asked to create a user name (if you have a callsign this would be ideal), enter your email address and create a password. An email will be sent to the email address you submitted. This email will contain a link which you need to follow to activate your registration.
If you have any questions about the forum registration process, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
