Cyril Todd, G4ABM (SK)

It’s with the greatest sadness that Stockton and District Amateur Radio Club said goodbye to Cyril Todd, G4ABM, one of the club’s founding members. As illness took him and he was taken to hospital then a care home, members of the club rallied round to keep him on the air as long as possible. Club members brought him to Stockton and District Amateur Radio Club when health permitted, where he was able to meet his old friends and became the club’s first and only honorary member. Cyril was a keen advocate of amateur radio, welcoming new and old visitors and guiding them in a unique way with his stories and experiences. No matter what your opinion of Cyril, he will be sorely missed by club members and the amateur radio world. The ether has gained an amazing soul at our expense but if he has any influence up there, DX will be good this year.
