We start with the sad news that the North Wales Rally, due to take place on 1 November, has had to be cancelled due to a drop in bookings.

Sunday, 13 September, the West Kent Radio and Electronics Fair will be held at the Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys, St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells TN4 9XB. Doors open to the public at 10am. There is free parking and refreshments will be available. There will be an RSGB stand at the event to deal with inquiries and memberships, and offering a wide range of RSGB books for sale. Also today, the Andover RAC Boot Sale will be held in Wildhern Village Hall, SP11 0JE. Admission for buyers is £2 and sellers £8, with tables in the hall costing £10. Doors open at 9.30am for disabled visitors and general access is at 10am. Details from Martin, M0MWS on 07776 181 646.

The British Vintage Wireless Society Murphy Day takes place Sunday, the 13th, at Mill Green Museum, Hatfield AL9 5PD. Details are on their website.

The Torbay Annual Communications Fair takes place Sunday, the 13th, at Newton Abbot Racecourse, Newton Abbot TQ12 3AF. There will be a bring-and-buy, an RSGB book stall and refreshments will be available. Doors open at 9.30am for disabled visitors with general admission at 10am. Admission is £2. On Sunday, 20 September the Crawley Microwave Round Table will take place at the Crawley ARC Club House Hut, 18 Tilgate Recreation Centre, Tilgate Forest from 10am. There will be demonstrations, presentations, equipment and component sales, all microwave-related, and the day includes a construction contest. Please do bring along your constructed equipment and enter. Refreshments are available and visitors are most welcome.

The Chippenham and District ARC Mini Indoor Radio Rally takes place on 20 September in Neston Village Hall, Pool Green, Neston, Corsham, Wiltshire SN13 9SN. Doors open at 10am and admission is £2, with under 16s free. Sellers have access from 9am. Parking on-site is limited but disabled spaces will be made available. The organisers have requested that you don’t park in Pool Green Road, but instead park in Leafield Way, which is a trading estate, just a five minute walk away.

Advance notice now for the Belgium Amateur Radio and Computer Rally on 27 September. Held at the Louvexpo in La Louviere, which is 50km south of Brussels. Doors open from 9am to 4pm and talk in will be available on local repeaters. Details are at www.on6ll.be.
