Full licensees to get bigger 2m band

Ofcom building and logoOn Friday morning Ofcom published a statement (20-page/142KB PDF) that included an intention to release 1MHz of additional spectrum to radio amateurs on the 2m band on a temporary basis.

The frequencies, from 146 to 147MHz, will be available via a Notice of Variation to Full licence holders only.

Applications for NoVs can be made via the RSGB website from the end of October, and more information will be published on the website as soon as it becomes available.
