Sad news now from the USA. ARRL DXCC and Awards Manager Bill Moore, NC1L was seriously injured in an accident. Moore suffered a broken neck and other injuries and is paralysed from the chest down. He is stable and recuperating at Mount Sinai Rehab Hospital in Hartford. There is no timetable for his return to work at ARRL Headquarters. DXCC and awards questions should be sent to one of the e-mail addresses listed on the DXCC Contacts web page. Many amateurs know Bill through the DXCC programme and cards and get-well wishes are appreciated. Send to Bill Moore, NC1L, 92 Reservoir Road, Newington, CT 06111, USA. Our best wishes to Bill for a speedy recovery.

Last weekend saw the AMSAT-UK Colloquium take place. Jim, G3WGM and Ciaran, M0XTD gave a presentation on the FUNcube-1 mission. The presentation included the announcement of a new version of the FUNcube-1 Dashboard. This has greatly improved decoding performance for weak signals—especially for FUNcube Dongle users. Additionally the dashboard can now activate the Bias-T pre-amp power from the dongle. The new version can now be downloaded and the guidance notes have been updated to provide full information about it. Details and downloads are at http://funcube.org.uk.
