| October 18, 2013

Earlier this week, following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the Philippines, the Philippine Amateur Radio Association activated its emergency communications using the frequency of 7.095MHz. Radio amateurs are asked to keep this 40m frequency clear as the assessment of damage and other relief work is continuing. The frequency of 7.145MHz should also be kept clear until all relief work in the aftermath of powerful cyclone in the Bay of Bengal has concluded.
