Surface Mount Technology at the RSGB Convention
The RSGB’s Centenary Convention, sponsored by Martin Lynch & Sons, takes place over the weekend 11 to 13 October at Horwood House just a few miles outside Milton Keynes. One of the highlights in the programme is a practical session on surface mount technology that can cause concern to many amateurs and put them off of trying home construction. Dave Powis, G4HUP will show that although it does use a different technology than many have been brought up on, a lot can be done with hardly any more equipment than you already use. The main focus of the presentation will be getting people to the point where they feel that they might be inclined to try it for themselves.
