| July 26, 2013

The UKube-1 CubeSat, which will carry an amateur radio transponder as part of its payload, could launch in late October. It will carry a set of AMSAT-UK designed FUNcube-2 boards. These will provide the amateur radio community with a 70cm up and 2m downlink linear transponder for SSB/CW operation, plus a 1200 bps BPSK telemetry beacon on 145.915MHz.
