Today, the 21st, the second 70MHz contest runs from 0900 to 1200UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

Also today, the 21st, this time from 1700 to 2100UTC the BARTG Sprint 75 takes place. Using the 3.5 to 28MHz bands the exchange is just the serial number. Note all contacts are 75 baud.

On Tuesday, the 50MHz UK Activity Contest runs from 1900 to 2130UTC. Using all modes on the 50MHz band the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

Running at the same time on Tuesday the SHF UK Activity contests are on the 2.3 to 10GHz bands. The exchange is also signal report, serial number and locator.

On Wednesday 24th September, the first of a series of eight, 1-hour 80m contests organised by the UK and Ireland Contest Club (UKEICC) takes place from 2000-2100 GMT. This first event is on CW, followed by SSB in October. These short contests use distance scoring similar to the Stew Perry event and entries have to be submitted within 1 hour of the end of the contest, with the results published online after a further 30 minutes approximately. Entries are welcomed from non-members of the UKEICC – the full Rules are on the website www.ukeicc.com

Thursday, the 25th, sees the CW leg of the popular 80 Club Sprint contest. Running from 1900 to 2000UTC the exchange is both callsigns, serial number and name.

There are three contests on the final weekend of the month. First is the CQWW DX RTTY Contest, which runs for the whole 48 hours of 27th and 28th. Using the 3.5 to 28MHz bands the exchange is signal report and Zone. The zone for the UK is 14.

The UK Microwave Group Cumulatives take place on the 28th from 0600 to 1800UTC. Using the 5.7 to 24GHz bands the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

Finally, the Practical Wireless 70MHz Contest on Sunday 28th has Low Power (10 watts) and Open sections. Running from 1200 to 1600UTC, scoring is 1 point per contact, multiplied by the number of Locator squares worked. The exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
