The VHF part of the 43rd Alpe Adria VHF/UHF/SHF contest takes place today, 3 August. Entry categories include a low power high altitude class for those above 1600m ASL and below 5W. Operations are on CW and SSB from 0700-1500UTC and full details are at www.alpe-adria-contest.net.

Today, 3 August, the CW contest RoPoCo 2 is on the air from 0700-0830UTC. Using CW only on the 80m band, the exchange is RST and full postcode received.

The RSGB 432MHz Low Power contest is today, the 3rd. Operating from 0800UTC until 1200 on all modes on the 70cm band, the exchange is RST, serial number and locator.

Finally for this weekend, Microwave Field Day takes place on today, the 3rd, from 0900-1700UTC. Using all modes on the 1.3 and 10GHz bands, RST, serial number and locator form the exchange.

Tuesday sees the 144MHz UK Activity Contest, running from 1900 to 2130UTC. Using all modes, the exchange is the usual signal report, serial number and locator.

For the whole 48 hours of the weekend of 9-10 August the first of this year’s Worked All Europe DX Contests, the CW leg, will be filling the HF bands with signals. Europeans work non-Europeans only. Using the 3.5 to 28MHz bands, the exchange is signal report and serial number.

The 5th 70MHz Cumulative Contest takes place on Sunday the 10th from 1400 to 1600UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
