We start with an invitation from Coulsdon Amateur Transmitting Society for any club to take part in their grand inter-club quiz, planned for next Monday, 13 November. Individuals, or teams of up to six players representing clubs, are invited to compete for prizes and the Sutton and Cheam Trophy. Most questions will be amateur radio-based but there will be two general knowledge rounds and one special 3dB bonus round. All are welcome, including families. On Monday New Forest Amateur Radio Society is having a talk and practical session on making and using simple test equipment by Chris, G4CWS. You will be able to make a simple piece of test equipment of your own; some tools are available but you are welcome to bring you own soldering iron, cutters and so on.
