We start with an advance announcement that Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society is holding a Foundation practical workshop from 7pm on 28 January and 4 February at Danbury Village Hall. The workshop will cover all the Foundation practical assessments such as station build setup, VHF and HF radio, and Morse. The cost of the course is £10. Verulam Amateur Radio Club, in St Albans, is to start an Advanced course shortly. The course will be part classroom based in the St Albans area and part online. If you are interested in joining the course, please contact Greg Beacher, M0PPG, via email to training@verulam-arc.org.uk.

Worthing & District Amateur Radio Club has its 80m net from 7.30am today and next Sunday. The 2m net is on Monday at 7.30pm. There’s a committee meeting on Tuesday, and Wednesday sees a talk on connecting things to your computer by Andrew, G1VUP. On Thursday there’s a net on 40m from 11am.
