We start with advanced notice that Malc A. Williams, G0EGA will start a new GB2CW Morse class broadcast on 5 and and continue every subsequent weekend until 4 October. Transmissions are on 145.625MHz from 8pm local time and cover Norwich, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas. Now for news from clubs that have several events this week. Surrey Radio Contact Club has its Top Band net on 1905kHz from 9.30am today and next Sunday. The Friday net is on 145.350MHz at 8pm. Contact John, G3MCX, on 020 8688 3322.

On Monday Felixstowe and District Amateur Radio Society has its holiday season club net on 145.400MHz from 8pm. Next Sunday sees a special event station at Martlesham Airfield. Contact Paul, G4YQC, via email to pjw@btinternet.com.

Southdown Amateur Radio Society has its 12wpm CW net on Wednesday from 10am on 7.028MHz, followed by a cafe meet at Beachy Head at 12.30pm, then a meeting with the Beachy Head Radio Society from 2.30pm.
