We start with a request from a shortwave listener in Barking who is blind and a wheelchair user, asking if anyone would be able to help him attend amateur radio events. Anyone able to assist is asked to contact Keith directly on 0208 984 8200.

Now for clubs that have several events this week. Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society is demonstrating amateur radio to the public at Sandford Mill museum today. On Thursday there’s a Morse class in The Bell, Danbury CM3 4DT plus a training class at Danbury Village Hall CM3 4NQ. Contact Martyn, G1EFL, on 01245 469 008.

Wimbledon and District Amateur Radio Society has its Top Band net today at 8pm on 1.980MHz.The Monday 2m net starts on 145.500MHz and then QSYs to a free frequency. Details from Kim Brown, G6JXA, on 07812 735 507.
