We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. Salop Amateur Radio Society has its summer barbecue today. On Tuesday it’s the club CW net from 4.30pm on 144.070MHz. Wednesday sees the club net on GB3LH from 8.30pm. On Thursday there’s a calibration night. For details, email salopamateurradio@gmail.com.

Today and next Sunday Wythall Radio Club has its net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL from 8pm. Monday sees a curry night and on Tuesday there’s a club meeting and Morse class. Friday sees the regular nibbles night in the shack. Details from Chris, G0EYO, on 07710 412 819.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net on Monday from 8pm on 145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. Thursday sees an open net from 8pm on 50.175MHz SSB, and on Friday there’s an open net on 145.375MHz instead of a meeting. Contact John, G8SEQ, on 07958 777 363.

Lincoln Short Wave Club is taking part in the UKCC on Tuesday. On Wednesday there’s a talk by Steve, M5ZZZ on homebrewing simple wire antennas.
