Gloucester Amateur Radio and Electronics Society is closed on Monday, 28 December. On Monday, 4 January members are showing pictures of shack equipment. RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club has its net on both Mondays on 145.325MHz from 8pm. Details from Bob, G3VCA, on 07971 166 250.

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its open net on both Mondays on or about 145.250MHz from 7.30pm. More information from Robert Bird, by email to spirit.guide@hotmail.co.uk.

Loughborough and District Amateur Radio Club is closed on Tuesday, the 29th, and has a 2m net on Tuesday, 5 January. More information from Chris, G1ETZ, on 01509 504 319.

South Birmingham Radio Society has its regular coffee morning in the shack from 11am on both Tuesdays. The club is closed on New Year’s Day, then working in the shack on Monday, 4 January. On Thursday, the 7th, there are training classes with Dave Murphy, G8OWL and on Friday, the 8th, there’s a boys-and-their-toys evening. Salop Amateur Radio Society Club has its CW net on Wednesday, 30 December from 4.30pm on 144.070MHz, followed by the club net from 8.30pm GB3LH and again the following Wednesday. Wythall Radio Club is having a nibbles night in the shack from 7.30pm on New Year’s Day and the following Friday. The club net is on 145.225MHz or GB3WL on Sundays. Tuesday, the 5th, sees a Morse class plus free-‘n’-easy evening and the 144MHz UKAC Contest. Sunday, 10 January sees the RSGB Affiliated Societies CW contest from 2pm to 6pm. Lincoln Short Wave Club has its Saturday Surgery and G5FZ on the air on 2 January. On Tuesday, the 5th, it’s the UK Club Contest, then on the 6th there are shack activities and G5FZ on the air.
