News for England Midlands – 29 June 2014

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Wythall Radio Club has its club net is on 145.225MHz at 8pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees a curry night at the Monsoon from 6.30 and the Intermediate course from 8pm. On Tuesday there’s a Morse class at 7.45, plus preparation for VHF Field Day and the 144MHz UKAC from 8.15pm. On Friday there’s the regular nibbles night in the shack from 7.30. Saturday sees the start of the all-weekend RSGB VHF National Field Day and on Sunday the club is providing comms for Wythall Fun Run. Details from Chris, G0EYO, on 07710 412 819.

Lincoln Short Wave Club is taking part in the 144MHz UKCC on Tuesday. On Wednesday there’s a sausage and burger night and Thursday sees the repeater net on GB3LM at 8pm. Saturday sees participation in VHF National Field Day and on Sunday GB2CWP will be put on the air at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre.
