We start with news that, subject to demand, Nunsfield House Amateur Radio Group plans to run an Advanced course in Derby from March to May. It will include home study, seminars and lectures. For further information contact Ken Frankcom, G3OCA, on 01332 720 976.

Now for news from clubs that have several activities this week. Wythall Radio Club is taking part in the 432MHz Affiliated Societies Contest today from 9am and has a club net on 145.225MHz from 8pm today and next Sunday. Monday sees the 80m Club Championship Contest SSB leg from 8pm, plus the second part of the Foundation course. On Tuesday there’s a Morse class at 7.45 and a free ‘n’ easy evening from 8.15, alongside the 144MHz UKAC Contest. The Friday Shack Social commences at 7.30 and next Sunday there’s a trip to the Didcot Rally, commencing at 8am. Details from Chris, G0EYO, on 07710 412 819.

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the 144MHz UK CC Contest on Tuesday from 7.30pm. Wednesday sees shack activities and a natter night from 7.30pm.
