Northampton Radio Club is arranging an intensive Foundation level training course weekend for anyone interested in becoming involved in amateur radio. Further information can be obtained from Bob, M0HAF, by e-mail to kenvee2@gmail.com.

On Sunday 14 April Wythall Radio Club is running a Special Event Station at Stoke Prior Steam Fair, then at 8pm there’s a club net on 145.225MHz. On 16 April there is a Morse class at 7.45pm and then at 8.30pm Callum, M0MCX will talk on Knots for Beginners. On Thursday the club is taking part in the 80m Club Championships Contest. On Friday is a shack social at 7.30pm. Next Sunday, the 21st, the club is visiting the Kempton rally setting off at 8am. Details from Chris, G0EYO, on 07710 412 819.

On Monday 15 April Friskney and East Lincolnshire Communications Club has VHF SSB club net on 144.165MHz USB, using vertical polarisation, starting at 7.30pm. On Wednesday there’s an M3+M6 club net on GB3FR repeater at 8pm and Friday a club net on the GB3FR repeater at 8pm. Non members are welcome on all nets. On Monday 15 April Lincoln Short-Wave Club is holding a committee meeting at 7.30pm followed by participation in the 1.3GHz UK Activity Contest on Tuesday from 8pm. On Wednesday the club has a formal meeting and on Thursday there’s a club simplex net on 145.375MHz at 8pm. On Saturday 20 April it’s the shack morning and mentoring from 9am. On Monday 15 April South Birmingham Radio Society has an open meeting with the shack on the air. Tuesday sees the coffee morning talking place from 11am to 1 pm.
