We start with an announcement that Hull and District Amateur Radio Society will be running a foundation course starting Saturday, 2 September and running for about three weeks. All are welcome. For more information, or to book, email tony.cobb.email@gmail.com.

Further north, on 2 September, Lomond Radio Club is hosting an RSGB Train the Trainers day from 9am at their shack in Renton, West Dunbartonshire G82 4LY. The course suits all levels from those starting out as trainers to people with many years’ experience. A light lunch will be provided, for which a donation not exceeding £7 would be appreciated.
