We start with news that Wakefield & District Radio Society is running its inaugural annual Construction Competition to honour their founder, Walter Farrar, G3ESP. The competition is open to any radio amateur or interested individual from RSGB Region 4. Projects must be entirely home built from components, must be of an amateur radio nature and must work. Kits are acceptable, but will be marked lower than completely home-constructed projects. The G3ESP trophy will be presented to the winner, plus a prize of £25. Further details from wdrscc@gmail.com.
Now for clubs that have several events this week. Warrington Amateur Radio Club is running the usual Solder Sunday from noon today and next Sunday. Tuesday sees a talk on Enigma restoration by Ken.
