We start with news that Torbay Amateur Radio Society Training Team is running Intermediate practical sessions as part of weekly club nights. They will culminate in an Intermediate licence weekend workshop and exams in October. The cost is around £70 per candidate, covering room hire and exam fees. Application forms can be found on the club website and any questions can be sent to training@tars.org.uk. This Friday, Torbay Amateur Radio Society is holding a members’ show-and-tell night. Now for clubs that have several events this week. Flight Refuelling Amateur Radio Society preparing for RSGB VHF National Field Day today. Next Saturday and Sunday sees the group on the air for NFD from Cerne Abbas. Contact John, G4POF, on 0758 250.

Thornbury and South Gloucestershire Amateur Radio Club is on the air /P on Wednesday testing new antenna systems. The regular VHF net is on Friday.
