Amateur Radio Observation Service – Coordinator

Keith Bassett, G7NBU, will be retiring soon and we need someone to carry on his good work!

AROS works behind the scenes, largely independent of the rest of the RSGB, to assist radio amateurs and others by investigating reports of
license infringements and poor operating, which might bring the hobby into disrepute.
Apart from managing issues being sent into AROS, the coordinator will work closely with the deputy coordinator to support and organise
investigations carried out by the group of observers, and liaise directly with Ofcom’s enforcement and licensing teams. A good working knowledge
of amateur radio is needed for the position, along with a discrete but objective approach to problem solving and issue resolution, and a track
record of good inter-personal skills. Applications along with an appropriate CV, or expressions of interest, should be sent to the General
Manager of the RSGB, Graham Coomber (graham.coomber@rsgb.org.uk) or by mail, marked Personal, to AROS, 3 Abbey Court, Fraser Road, Priory
Business Park, Bedford MK44 3WH to arrive by 12th September 2014.
