December YOTA Month 2017

December YOTA Month is fast approaching with several countries preparing to take part in one of the best events of the year. Here at the RSGB we are pleased to say we will be supporting this great event again for a fourth year. We hope to have as many stations as possible active with the SES call sign GB17YOTA which Ofcom has agreed for this event.

We would love as many clubs and individuals as possible to get involved – encourage young people in your area to experience the excitement and diversity that amateur radio has to offer with other activities running alongside the on-air station. These can include kit building, direction finding and other wireless-related activities. All applications are welcome and you’ll find the application form online this year: https://goo.gl/forms/qvYw4ln4AV5Osk3X2

Last year the UK managed 3,145 QSOs in December thanks to the great effort from all participants.

Logs will be uploaded to Clublog daily and QSLing is preferred via OQRS (managed by Jamie Williams, M0SDV). Please see QRZ.com under the various callsigns (GM, GW, GI, and G) for full QSL information.

If you have any queries, please get in touch with Kieran Clarke, 2E0NCN, who is the RSGB Youth Committee YOTA Month Coordinator: yota.month@rsgb.org.uk
