The RSGB Anniversary Day – 5th July – is the exact date in 1913 when The London Wireless Club was formed and after a further name change became the Radio Society of Gt. Britain on 22nd November 1922. We are thus marking the anniversary of our Centenary on this day.
Full details of this event are elsewhere on the RSGB website and in RadCom. Bletchley Park will be open to the public as usual, but a special voucher that can be obtained from our website to allow free access to BP for members. Family and companions of visiting members will be able to visit the National Radio Centre (NRC) free, but will be required to pay the Bletchely Park admission fee if they wish to visit the rest of the site.
In addition to a refresh of the equipment display in the NRC we are planning two special lectures in the Mansion in the morning and afternoon. The ARDF Committee are putting on a DF hunt in the grounds of the Park and we are delighted to also have several members of the Bath Buildathon team working and others working on a PSK31 / Raspberry Pi receiver project with local school children.
